PODCAST RECOMMENDATION: GUTFULL!

By Libby Burger, RN

Happy 2021! One of the ways I love to practice self-care, especially in these stressful times, is to take a walk outside with my dog. While on our walks, I enjoy listening to audiobooks or podcasts. Recently, I stumbled upon a podcast called “Gutfull”, available on the Audible app. I cannot emphasize enough how informative and interesting I found this podcast. “Gutfull” is hosted by Dr. Joanna McMillan, a PhD qualified nutrition scientist and an accredited practicing dietitian. During this 10-episode podcast, Dr. McMillan covers topics including the importance of a healthy gut microbiome, the mind-gut connection, and ways nutrition can impact conditions such as constipation, heartburn, and others. She offers guidance that is backed by science in a way that is easy to understand and implement, not to mention, in a delightful Scottish accent!

If you would like to learn more about the amazing bacteria that can help you to feel your best, please take a listen. Even better if you decide to implement what you have learned with Dr. McMillan, one of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, Julie or Claire, or our Licensed Counselor and Behavior Coach, Jed, can further support your efforts. The best thing we can do for ourselves and those we love is to make health and wellness a top priority. I think listening to this podcast is a great way to start! Contact us today at 224-407-4400 or through our website at www.compgihealth.com

All my best,

Libby
