Jill received her Bachelor’s degree (BSN) from Indiana University’s College of Nursing, where she was also an active member of the College’s Student Nurses Association and a member of the National Student Nurses Association. Following graduation, Jill worked as a nurse in the Cardiovascular ICU of an area hospital before eventually transitioning to a position in the Progressive Care unit. Jill spent time traveling throughout the country as a travel nurse in hospitals in Palm Beach, Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada and credits both these experiences in other parts of the country and in different parts of the hospital as further developing a well-rounded skill set. She settled into gastroenterology nursing in 2011 and has worked in a variety of GI environments, constantly expanding her knowledge base.
Foremost, Jill understands that we are all unique individuals and that our care needs vary by person, and therefore she takes a great deal of pride in caring for each patient on a complete and individual basis. Jill strongly believes that the key to good health – and patient care – is treating the mind and the body and she is very proud to be part of a strong team that is invested in a complete approach to medicine.
Jill resides in Grayslake with her loving husband, beautiful daughter, and their golden-doodle, and in her time away from the office Jill likes to craft, enjoys cooking and baking, and maintains an organic garden in the back of her home. She loves to travel, is an avid fan of musicals and as a former fitness instructor, enjoys any chance to get outdoors and be active.
