Check out this link to learn about a recent article in the American Journal of Epidemiology that demonstrated that swapping 30 minutes of sedentary time with 30 minutes of light intensity physical activity per day (like a casual stroll down the hall) reduced the risk of early death by 17%!! Bumping up to 30 minutes of moderate or vigorous exercise daily reduced the risk of early death by 35%!!
