Educational Background

After a career in banking and real estate, Libby decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a nurse and, while her children were very small, she graduated from National American University in Kansas City with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Libby worked on a Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit at a university health hospital in Kansas City prior to her family moving to Illinois. Once in Illinois, Libby found a career in GI nursing and completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University.

Philosophy

Libby strives to be a partner with patients in order to promote health, prevent illness, support disease management and improve quality of life. Libby recognizes that every person is an individual and is living a life, not just a diagnosis. That is the reason Libby chose to join the amazing and collaborative team at Comprehensive Gastrointestinal Health.

Personal Life

Libby and her husband live in Lake Forest with their three children and three dogs. She spends her time cheering on her children in their various activities and also rooting on her favorite team…the Iowa Hawkeyes. Even though life is busy, Libby enjoys taking those few free moments to walk the dogs, listen to podcasts/audiobooks, read and spend time with friends and family.
