Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Amy is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 8 years of experience counseling clients for weight management, disease prevention and management, and exercise nutrition. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition from Clemson University (go Tigers!) and completed her Dietetic Internship in Augusta, Georgia. Amy has a passion for overall wellness – physical, mental, and social – and is excited to specialize in gastrointestinal health as she grows in her career.
During a session with Amy, you’ll quickly see that her coaching philosophy involves equal parts nutrition education and the psychology behind eating. Through this lens, Amy will motivate you to take purposeful action to feel your best. Living with IBS herself, Amy understands the physical and social challenges surrounding digestive disease, and also the impact that food & lifestyle can have on improving quality of life. She is a strong believer that living a healthy lifestyle should expand your life, not constrict it, and she’s excited to help you find food freedom once and for all.
Outside of CGH, Amy loves spending time with her husband, dog, and baby girl. Born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, she finds joy in exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods and traveling to new places. When it comes to food & drinks, she loves trying something new — but tacos, sushi, or a glass of red wine tend to be her favorites. To balance out her own well-being, she practices yoga, meditation, strength training, and makes sure to spend time with her tight-knit friends and family.
