CROHN’S & COLITIS FOUNDATION (CCFA) CONFERENCE
“The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.”
I had the pleasure of attending the Annual Patient & Professional Education Symposium a few weeks ago in Rosemont, Illinois. The morning session covered several important topics related to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) care including pain management, new upcoming therapies, advances in surgical management, and when to discuss de-escalating (lessening or stopping) therapy.
Staying up to date with the latest evidence shared by these experts is critical to providing our patients the best care possible. The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a wonderful organization for providers but more importantly provides a wealth of information for patient and offers in-person and virtual support groups for patients. Please take some time to review their website, attend events, or get involved with the organization they are a fantastic resource.
If you or a loved one lives with IBD please come see Dr. Tara Troy and the team at Comprehensive Gastrointestinal Health, we are here to support you! Call 224-407-4400 or visit www.compgihealth.com to set up an appointment.
